Facial Acupuncture Archetypes: "Discovering your Original Face";

The 3 Yangs: Taiyang, Shaoyang, Yangming
The 3 Yins: Taiyin, Shaoyin, Jueyin
Acupuncturist/physiotherapists, this one's for you!! The treatment protocols incorporate the use of trigger points, motor points and "ashi points" (see below for more details). If you are interested in incorporating facial acupuncture into your clinic treatment menu, this certification will permit you to expand upon your pre-existing skills with ease!!

The 3 Yins is also slated for April 2-3, 2011.

This innovative certification series examines our constitutional blueprints (archetypes) in conjunction with the 6 stages of the Shang Han Lun, to address basic behavior, personality traits, health tendencies and the quality of Shen in everyone!!
Utilizing information from ancient Chinese texts, participants will learn how to determine their dominant constitution, personal expression, complexion (Shen), archetypal physiognomy, constitutional tendencies to form wrinkles, and their potential for "healthy aging".
Also included is a mapped-out protocol for each of the 6 zones Taiyang (back), Yangming (front), and Shaoyang (side) - for both face and body; advanced needling techniques, including motor points and trigger points, will be featured in the context of a facial acupuncture treatment protocol. The 3 constitutional levels, Jing (8 Extraordinary meridians), Ying (TCM points) and Wei (ashi points) will also be considered.
Participants will be provided with information regarding contraindications, benefits, intake/release forms, patient pre-screening, and will be introduced to a topical Chinese herbal facial protocol.
The Instructor will demonstrate the entire
facial acupuncture protocol, and participants will give and receive treatments
under her supervision.
